The adoption of regenerative practices is held back by one critical gap: the lack of consistent, finance-ready data to measure impact. Without clear metrics, it’s difficult for capital, insurers, and supply chains to reward resilience where it matters most.
Regenerate Institute (RGI), in partnership with Greeno Soil AG, is developing the Regenerative Resilience (“RR”) Score: a standardized, field-level metric that evaluates a farm’s ability to withstand climate stress and maintain productivity.

GreenO is a founding strategic partner of RGI and provides a core component of its technology stack. The company’s platform transforms field data into climate-cell-based analytics integrating soil, cropping history, and weather volatility to help food companies quantify farm resilience at both the field and regional levels.
Agricultural resilience cannot be measured crop by crop. Farms operate as whole systems across multi-year rotations, potatoes, barley, wheat, sugar beets, corn, and no single buyer or lender controls enough of a farm’s output to drive adoption alone. Each buyer sees only part of the system, making it impossible to support or measure whole-farm regenerative performance.
RGI’s multi-sponsor pilot model solves this challenge.
Each pilot establishes a region-specific RR scoring system, aggregates anonymized field data across multiple crops, and creates a shared benchmarking backbone for food companies, banks, insurers, agribusinesses, and impact investors. By co-funding pilots, sponsors reduce individual cost and risk while building shared infrastructure that moves from siloed projects to scale.
